Weirton

The Weirton facility is one of Mittal Steel's largest in the USA.  It is a fully integrated steel-making facility strategically located in the northern panhandle of West Virginia along the Ohio River north of Wheeling, W.Va.  The area provides excellent shipping access along the Ohio River as well as excellent highway and railroad shipping.  The plant operates two blast furnaces and its total raw steel-making capability is 3 million tons annually.  Weirton has stood on its site since 1908.

Products made at this location are hot-rolled, cold-rolled, galvanized, electro-galvanized and tin plate products.  Markets served include container, construction, service center, automotive and tubular.
